Make sure the battery is clean and dry, if the battery is dirty, creeping currents can form and the battery loses power. If the car is only driven short distances (less than 20 minutes), we recommend regular charging with an external charger in winter. If you can measure the battery, charge the battery if the voltage in the battery goes below 12.5 volts. Measure the battery before starting the car. When using gasoline and diesel heaters, regular charging is recommended. A good guideline to protect the battery is to run the heater for 30 minutes and drive the car for 30 minutes. Even with regular driving with longer distances, we recommend that the battery is fully charged with an external charger in the fall and spring. For seasonal vehicles, we recommend disconnecting the negative pole to remove any stray currents and small consumptions that drain the battery over time. Charge the battery every three months
