The Kay SL combines all the benefits of the Birkenstock classics, Tokio and Boston, in one model. The upper instep strap can be folded back if needed to serve as a heel strap, providing additional support. The SuperGrip sole is slip-resistant, rolls ideally, and is also oil- and grease-resistant. Its EVA midsole features additional soft cushioning, ensuring reliable shock absorption with every step, even for sensitive feet. This high level of flexibility and stability is especially valued in medical settings. All SuperGrip sole models are tested for slip resistance according to EN ISO 20347:2012. It features an anatomically shaped cork-latex footbed with additional soft padding, a SuperGrip sole with a shock-absorbing midsole made of lightweight, flexible EVA, and a slip-resistant, oil- and grease-resistant rubber outsole. The slip resistance is tested according to EN ISO 20347:2012 (Category SRA). The strap can be folded back to provide additional stable heel support. The individually adjustable metal pin buckle ensures a perfect fit. The natural leather is visible on the untreated surface, and the skin-friendly, flexible leather insole gently conforms to the foot´s contour. The open-pored and breathable surface ensures a pleasant foot climate, even during intense physical activity.
