The Shockwatch 2 is an addition to the well-known Shockwatch Label, expanding the application possibilities for cost-effective transport monitoring.
The Shockwatch 2 with 15g / 50 ms (blue) is designed for monitoring heavy and very large packages up to approximately 7 tons with a volume of around 3 cubic meters. Traditional Shockwatch Labels are only rated for a maximum weight of 1 ton.
Another advantage of the Shockwatch 2 is its activation process. Compared to ShockWatch Labels, which are always "active," the ShockWatch 2 is activated only when it is attached to the shipment. This allows for easy transport to the point of use and simplifies the handling of the indicators before deployment. They are self-adhesive and are activated by removing the protective backing.
The triggering behavior of the ShockWatch 2 is primarily defined for the vertical shock axis. The label will trigger and change color when a shock occurs at an angle between 45° and 90° to the ground. It should be attached so that the two indicator windows are positioned at the top and bottom.
To ensure that Shockwatch 2 indicators do not trigger too early or too late, it is important to select the right indicator for monitoring your package during transport. The following table offers a detailed selection guide to match your specific needs:

The starting point for choosing the correct Shockwatch 2 indicator is the size of the package in cubic meters (L x W x H) and the total weight, including packaging, of your package. Select the weight range in the left column and the volume range in the top row. Extend both fields with an "imaginary line" and then read off the corresponding sensitivity value. The resulting color field represents the respective g-value.
Each Shockwatch 2 indicator comes with a small delivery note sticker included in the packaging of the Shockwatch indicators. Simply attach this to your delivery note to provide the carrier or end customer with an additional reminder to check the Shockwatch label on the package when receiving the goods.
