SkidMate® cushioning elements

The SkidMate® cushioning system in modular design makes it possible to design packaging for different weights and sensitivities very quickly and easily to meet specific requirements. Dampers can replace the usual wooden palletised dunnage or be installed in floating packaging directly on the underside of the product. When fitted correctly, SkidMate® provides shock absorption of up to 20 g in a twist and drop test from a height of 60 cm.

The air-sprung shock absorption elements are made from recycled plastic and are extremely resistant. SkidMate® products can be used for disposable or reusable packaging.

Installation

SkidMate® damping elements are installed using M8 round-head or hexagon head screws. The corresponding thread is already fitted in the SkidMate®. The length of the screws must be selected according to the thickness of the spacer (28.6 mm) plus the wooden beam. When mounting SkidMate® directly on the product, the screw thread can be omitted.
