The Magnastat system works by means of a permanent magnet and a ferromagnetic temperature sensor. If the soldering tip is cold, the permanent magnet is attracted by the ferromagnetic temperature sensor. In this state, the switch is closed and the heating is switched on. If the temperature sensor approaches its Curie low point, i.e. the selected tip temperature, its magnetic behavior changes and the heating is switched off. If the peak cools down slightly, the temperature sensor picks up again and the control cycle starts again. The working temperature is selected by simply changing the soldering tip with the temperature sensor attached to it. The WELLER Longlife soldering tips cover the temperature ranges 260°, 310°C , 370°C , 425°C and 480°C. The WTCP 51 is not suitable for ESD-safe applications as the soldering iron is not antistatic. - Magnastat regulated - Tip family CT soldering tips - 1 piece soldering iron W 201 - 1 piece soldering tip CT 2 F7 chisel shape
