Victron Gel batteries have high deep cycle resistance and long life. The use of high purity materials and lead/calcium grids ensures that Gel batteries have a particularly low self-discharge rate so they will not discharge for long periods without charging. The number of cycles the battery can be charged depends on how deeply the battery is discharged. Charging also has a significant impact on the lifespan.
