The AGM Super Cycle batteries are advantageously used where temporary discharges to 100% discharge are expected and are often at 60-80% discharge. DoD, or frequently occurring 60-80%. The paste on the positive plates is less prone to softening, even with repeated full discharge of the battery, and new additions to the electrolyte reduce sulfation at deep discharge. The battery is completely sealed and maintenance free in the sense that water does not need to be added, however the battery should be maintenance charged if the battery is not used for long periods. Always charge fully before storing your vehicle, electric car or boat for the winter. The number of cycles the battery can be charged depends on how deeply the battery is discharged. Charging also has a major impact on the lifespan. For longest life, we recommend that the charger be set according to the values in the data sheet. 300 cycles at 100% discharge. 700 cycles at 60% discharge. 1000 cycles at 40% discharge.
