Victron VE.Bus BMS The VE.Bus BMS protects each individual cell in a Victron Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4 or LFP) battery. Each individual cell in a LiFePO4 battery must be protected from over voltage, under voltage and over temperature. Victron LiFePO4 batteries have integrated balancing, temperature and voltage regulation (acronym: BTV) and connect to the VE.Bus BMS with two M8 circular connection cord sets. The BTVs for multiple batteries can be interconnected. See our LiFePO4 battery documentation for more information. The BMS will: Turn off or disconnect loads in the event of an overhanging cell under voltage. Reduce charging current in case of imminent cell over-voltage or over temperature (VE.Bus products only, see below). Switching off or disconnecting battery chargers in case of imminent cell overvoltage or over temperature.
