A motorcycle battery needs to be charged regularly, much more often than a car used on a daily basis. We recommend charging the battery every two months throughout the year. Even if the motorcycle is used in the summer, it is usually not regular and the bike can easily be left standing for periods of time, alarms and other electronics can discharge the battery. If you leave the battery in the motorcycle during winter storage, loosen one of the cable lugs. If you remove the battery, keep it dry and cool to reduce self-discharge. Get into the habit of always charging the battery before putting it away for storage and before using it. Wait a few hours after charging before installing it. Use a charger that does not have too high a charging current, a good rule is 10% of the battery's Ah. If the charger has low current mode/MC mode, use it. Overcharging shortens battery life. Charge batteries in a ventilated area to avoid the formation of oxyhydrogen gas. Handle the batteries with care.
